The focus in this week 8 of Term 3 was the completion of Common Test 2. Meanwhile, our Under-17 Rugby Team's tour of NZ has now moved from Christchurch to Auckland where they will play a few more games in the coming week before their return to Tonga on Friday September 6. Fr. 'Ekuasi is accompanying the tour and has kindly kept us in the loop with regular photo updates which we collated here below.

Form 6 Fundraising Drive
These were photos from last week when our Form Six students held a fundraising drive to renovate the verandah of their classrooms. Malo fanau e si'i feinga!
Maleselo Afu RIP
Yesterday the entire school attended the funeral of the late Maleselo Afu, a student of the college. Our condolences to all the bereaved at this time of loss. RIP Maleselo.
Pacific Islands Forum Meeting
On Monday this week, our Form 7 students represented us at the opening of the now concluded Pacific Islands Forum which Tonga hosted for the very first time.
Climate Change Workshop
And then on Wednesday this week, and in conjunction with the Pacific Forum Meeting, our Form 7 students represented us at a workshop on Climate Change.
AFC's Perennial Challenge: No excess water drainage
Whatever our students can learn about climate change may well help us out here at the college as we are continually beset by rising water levels whenever there is heavy rain on the island. These were the scenes at the college on Monday this week.
Forms 6 & 7 Social Night
This is always a highly anticipated event for the senior students, but which normally meant preparation not just the venue but also those dancing moves for this Friday.
Ongoing night classes for Form 6
We're forever grateful to those who walk the extra mile to make these night classes possible for our Form 6 in their preparation for both the internal and external exams.
Trainee-Teachers from Tupou Tertiary Institute (TTI)
This week we farewelled four trainee teachers from TTI who have completed their Practicum here at the college. We thank them for their help and wish them all well.
Home Economics Internal Assessment
Farewelling our 4 TTI trainee-teachers couldn't have come at a more appropriate time for it allowed our Home Economics students to showcase their cooking talents!
End of Common Test 2
There was relief all round as these exams finally came to an end on Wednesday.
Conclusion
May I on behalf of all of us here at 'Apifo'ou thank you one and all for your continuing support and prayers for the college. Please continue to pray for all that we do here without forgetting our Under-17 Rugby Touring Party who are in their final week in NZ.
